Adding Controls

The control menu lists, in alphabetic order, all the controls that you can put in a dialog box. To add controls, follow these steps:

• Select a control from the Control menu or click on an icon on the Control Palette at the right side of the window.

  The pointer becomes a small plus sign (+) in a square. The center marks the position where the lower-left corner of the border for the control will be set.

• Click the mouse to position the control.

• A dialog might appear (depending on the type of control) in which you must enter data or check preferences to define the control. Complete this and close the dialog.

• Select Help Index from the Help menu (or press F1 and select Help Index).

• Select Options or press Alt-O.

• Select Contents or press Ctrl-C.

• Select Control Menu for an alphabetic list of controls, or select Control Palette for the icons as they appear on the Control Palette.

• Select the control you want to read about.
