General Installation Procedure for DOS Programs

To install a new DOS program:

Read the installation instructions for the DOS program.

Select the OS/2 System icon.

Select the Command Prompts icon.

Select the DOS Full Screen icon.

Type the installation command as specified in the installation instructions on the command prompt.

For example:

a:install

Follow the instructions on the screen.

When installation is complete, close the Command Prompts folder.

To add an icon to the desktop, you can use either:

The Program template in the Templates folder (refer to Running DOS Applications.)

The Migrate Applications program (refer to Migrating Programs.).
