MIDICreateInstance - Parameters

ulClassNumber (ULONG) - input

The class number.

pminstance (PMINSTANCE) - output

The number of the new instance.

pszInstanceName (PSZ) - input

Pointer to a string of length MIDI_NAME_LENGTH containing the instance name.

ulFlag (ULONG) - input

This parameter is not currently used and must be set to 0.

rc (ULONG) - returns

Returns 0 if the command is completed successfully.

MIDIERR_DUPLICATE_INSTANCE

The instance name already exists.
MIDIERR_INTERNAL_SYSTEM
System problem.
MIDIERR_INVALID_CLASS_NUMBER
The class number (ulClassNumber) is invalid.
MIDIERR_INVALID_FLAG
The ulFlag value is not set to 0.
MIDIERR_INVALID_INSTANCE_NAME
The instance name (pszInstanceName) is invalid.
MIDIERR_INVALID_PARAMETER
The pminstance pointer is invalid.
MIDIERR_NOT_ALLOWED
An attempt was made to create a second application node.
MIDIERR_RESOURCE_NOT_AVAILABLE
A required system resource is not available.
