dynamic data exchange
Interprocess communication protocol used by applications to define dynamic links. Information updated in one application is automatically reflected in other applications linked to the first application via DDE. DDE is supported under OS/2 Version 2.0 between Windows applications, between Presentation Manager applications, and between a Windows application and a Presentation Manager application.
