The virtual DOS Protected Mode Interface(VDPMI) device driver provides Version 0.9 DPMI support for virtual DOS machines. DPMI applications run in protected mode, not V86 mode. VDPMI allows the user to specify how much protected mode memory should be made available to a DOS session using the DPMI_MEMORY_LIMIT setting in the settings notebook.
