Configuring System Parameters

The graphical installation procedure removes the need for a user to directly access and modify system configuration files such as CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT during installation. Instead, the installation procedure provides a simple interface to allow the alteration of system parameters. This interface is invoked by the user selecting the Software Configuration menu item in the OS/2 Setup and Installation window. Selection of this item displays an additional window, as shown in Figure "Configuration Details".

Other parameters are added to CONFIG.SYS based upon the chosen settings for country, mouse type, etc.
