Naming Conventions

The following identifiers allow DBCS and can be a mixed string:

• Column-name

• Correlation-name

• Capitalize cursor-name

• Capitalize host-variable(**)

• Capitalize index-name

• Capitalize plan-name

• Capitalize statement-name

• Capitalize table-name

• View-name

The following identifiers do not allow DBCS and cannot be a mixed string:

• Database-name

• Authorization-ID

SBCS characters in mixed string identifiers should follow the naming conventions of SBCS DB2/2. DBCS characters can be any valid characters. Monocasing is not applied to DBCS characters.
