Who Should Use This Book

This book is specifically written for:

• product planners who plan which DBCS functions should be supported.

• product designers who design products supporting DBCS.

• programmers who develop and implement products supporting DBCS.

It is assumed that you are familiar with OS/2 and SBCS OS/2 programming.

DBCS in IBM System and Where You Should Support DBCS is intended to be read by all audiences.

String Manipulation, Presentation, Database and Comunication are intended for designers and programmers. You may need to read only the sections relevant to your product. However, General Considerations are important for planners as well.

More Information is not essential, but helpful for all audiences.
